Pet Health Centers at North Shore Animal League America are proud to offer after-hours emergency veterinary triage to our clients through video telehealth services. The VetTriage veterinarians will provide the same level of quality care you receive during normal business hours. They will triage your pet to assess if you are facing an emergency that requires immediate emergency care. If you do not need to go in, they will provide home care and monitoring instructions. In the event you need immediate assistance, VetTriage will coordinate your visit with the nearest emergency hospital.

The Pet Health Centers at North Shore Animal League America (NSALA) is not responsible for any medical concerns regarding any pet whose caretaker has decided to utilize the services of VetTriage and/or seek in-person veterinary medical attention thereafter. All costs pertaining to the cost of using VetTriage, and any in-person veterinary care thereafter, is at the sole responsibility of the pet owner/caretaker. NSALA will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for, or reimburse veterinary care expenses incurred by the pet owner for the VetTriage session fee or fees incurred for in-person veterinary medical attention thereafter. This clause applies to situations where the pet was adopted from NSALA and has a current, covered or unknown previous condition.
How VetTriage Works
Step 1
To begin your session, complete the registration information or if you are a returning client, login using your email address. After clicking “Continue” you will be directed to our secure client payment portal.
Step 2
After entering our secure payment portal, click Purchase Session. You’ll then see payment options including credit or debit cards, and PayPal. Select your payment method and complete the transaction. All sessions are $50 regardless of duration.
Step 3
After completing payment, click the Request Session button to connect directly with a licensed veterinarian. The doctor will triage your pet’s condition. If there is a medical emergency, they will work to connect you with the closest veterinary ER or on-call veterinarian.
